Dr. Rohit Seem is a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP) with over two decades of clinical experience. Known for his thorough and evidence-based approach, Dr. Seem provides personalized, concierge primary care that prioritizes long-term health outcomes and patient education.

Dr. Seem specializes in comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. He has a particular interest in preventive medicine and the management of chronic conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, and diabetes.

Education & Background
Dr. Seem earned his medical degree from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College in India. He moved to the United States to complete his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Iowa program at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, graduating in 2002.
His commitment to clinical excellence has been recognized multiple times by the Consumers’ Research Council of America, which named him one of “America’s Top Family Doctors” in 2006, 2010, and 2014.
Professional Experience
Dr. Seem began his career with Iowa Health Physicians before practicing with TriStar Medical Group at Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He later relocated to Maryland and founded Family Medicine Shady Grove.
In addition to his concierge primary care role, Dr. Seem is a USCIS-designated Civil Surgeon authorized to perform immigration medical examinations. He is an active member of both the Maryland Academy of Family Physicians and the Montgomery County Medical Society. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys hiking, bicycling, and volunteering at medical camps throughout Maryland and Virginia.
